Niger – Validation Workshop on Feasibility Studies for Investment

Abstract

On the 6-7 June 2018, PARM collaborated with the Office of the High Commissioner for Nigeriens Feed Nigeriens (HC3N) initiative to organize a workshop in Niamey, Niger, to validate the findings from two feasibility studies launched on 1) Investment in the access to information system in Niger and 2) Futures contract and warrantage network in support of Niger’s national risk management strategies.

The workshop commenced with a speech from the General Secretary of the HC3N initiative, followed by presentations of findings from the two feasibility studies and comments from the participants. Overall, the workshop welcomed about 57 participants from diverse stakeholder groups in Niger. All the key outcomes and presentations delivered are documented in this workshop report.
