Agricultural Risk Assessment Study in Cameroon

Abstract:

In Cameroon, the agricultural sector represents 22.5% of the GDP and employs more than 61% of the labour force. Despite a higher growth rate of agricultural GDP than the population, the sector is facing major challenges, in particular, relating to the increase rural poverty and the growth of imports in meeting the country’s food needs.

This Risk Assessment Study (RAS) report presents a comprehensive mapping and assessment of key agricultural risks in Cameroon through a holistic approach. It also provides data and information on priority risks and impacts as well as the existing policies and tools for ARM in the country.
